I'm from California! How should I dress for the weather in Michigan?

First, let us assure you that December is a beautiful time in Grand Rapids! It's festive and fun. We definitely can't predict the weather, so keep an eye on the weather forecast when you are packing. December in Michigan could bring snow (or not). While our wedding festivities will all be inside, we recommend a coat/jacket.

What should I expect after the ceremony?

The ceremony expected to be one hour in duration. After the ceremony, Jeff and Julie's immediate family will be taking pictures, followed by the wedding party. You will have 2.5 hours before cocktail hour begins at The Rutledge - enough time to check-in at your hotel, take a nap, or grab refreshments at a nearby restaurant.
